Voters across Europe cast their ballots on June 9, the final day of voting, in an election for the European Parliament. In a shift from issues such as the cost of living, farm policies, climate change, and so on, that have traditionally dominated the electoral discourse in the 27 member states of the bloc, the polls this year saw the Israel-Hamas war and the larger Palestine issue take centre stage.
